Get To Know Spencer Hewlett

Spencer Hewlett’s journey in Alberta commenced in 2006 when he joined Pro-Tech Rigging & Industrial Movers. Starting as a general laborer, he diligently climbed the ranks, eventually ascending to a supervisory and managerial role by 2011. During that pivotal year, Spencer was entrusted with the task of spearheading the establishment of a new branch in the Edmonton area, a testament to his capabilities and leadership.

Assuming the role of Operations Manager, Spencer embarked on sales and recruitment efforts, steering the branch towards success. In 2013, the company underwent a transformation, being acquired by a large corporation seeking to diversify its extensive service portfolio.

Between 2013 and 2015, Spencer continued to contribute to the branch’s growth, expanding his business acumen and deepening his industry knowledge. In June 2015, driven by a commitment to personal development, he temporarily left the company to pursue higher education.

At MacEwan University, Spencer successfully completed a Business Management Diploma while simultaneously attending trade school at NAIT, culminating in the attainment of his Journeyman Mobile Crane ticket and securing both his Blue and Red Seals. Armed with this comprehensive skill set, Spencer was eager to re-enter an industry that demanded continual innovation and adaptability.

Informed by his extensive interactions with diverse industry employers, Spencer aspired to fuse the best qualities of each into a new venture. Prime Movers Rigging & Industrial Services Inc. was born from this vision, designed to deliver an unparalleled commitment to customer service, hard work, and service quality. This commitment is deeply rooted in a culture prioritizing safety and teamwork, positioning Prime Movers as an industry leader under Spencer’s guidance.
